Food For Thought: Light Is Life

The more sunlight we get, the more energetic we feel- that is a fact.

Sunlight makes us jauntier, more sociable, more enthusiastic and, thus, a lot more productive as a whole (to all non- believers, read on à << http://www.natural-health-restored.com/benefits-of-sunlight.html >>)

So, would it not make a lot more sense to work whilst constantly exposed to sunlight?

But let us adopt a rather simple example in order to illustrate the above:

You are a junior investment banker in the City.

________
I              I
I      o      I                   ß  This is where you work.
I_______I

The gaps above are not windows; they are corridors- a way for others to invade your personal space.

Nevertheless, you have got sufficient space in your 2x2 cubicle; you’ re not a greedy person.

You sometimes feel a bit squeezed, a bit blue, a bit unappreciated, a bit…sad.

And, thus, you under perform and you feel even more squeezed, blue and unappreciated.

But what if there was a window and you could actually see that the Sun outside was shining and life was not that bad after all?

Or, yet again, what if there was a device which created artificial daylight in your office? Would that not brighten up your day and make you forget all about your worries?

Of course it would. And here’s how to do it:

A tunnel which brings the sunlight inside- affordable, easy to fit and quite energy efficient. One word: BRILLIANT.

Also, if you are lucky enough to have a window in your office, you can try that out:

If you could regulate the sunlight coming in as well as the colour of the sky (how cool is that, eh?), you could easily adjust it so that it could:

  • Inspire you- dim light, purple sky

  • Wake you up- bright light, amber sky

  • Put your mind at ease- soft light, light blue sky

  • Prepare you for the business deal of your life- fading light, burgundy sky

The above are not utopian concepts or faraway dreams- today’s technology has made them an affordable reality.

So, to both employers and employees, give yourself and those around you a chance to work in a pleasant, inspiring and relaxing environment.

Because light is life. Write that down.
